McDermid will be tasked with developing broker and introducer networks and growing business in the region.

McDermid spent nine years working as a relationship manager at the Bank of Scotland, while he also worked with its real estate division where he supported brokers and was responsible for generating sales.
He has a diploma in financial services and a certificate in real estate – both from the Institute of Bankers in Scotland.
