Boxall will assess credit and underwriting investment property lending applications submitted to the bank by brokers, while Linley will liaise with brokers and solicitors to see loans through to completion.
Boxall joins after spending 26 years at HSBC where he covered a variety of positions across retail branch banking, residential mortgage advice, investment property lending and commercial management for trading businesses. As a commercial manager, Adrian was responsible for a portfolio of 250 trading businesses.
He said: “I was attracted to Shawbrook by the fact it is a relatively new, innovative and fast growing bank which prides itself on providing a customer-focused service.
“I’m excited about being part of a more specialist lender and I’m looking forward to seeing the lending market from this different perspective.”
Linley has 10 years’ experience as a mortgage broker, while she also worked for property management company DTZ and was an estate agent in London. As an estate agent she packaged mortgage applications from an in-house independent mortgage broker and liaised with other agents, surveyors, solicitors, lenders and clients.
She said: “Coming from a mortgage broker background, I am excited to see where all the paperwork I previously dealt with ends up.
“I am looking forward to working from the other end of the industry. I chose Shawbrook because of the passion for the industry shown when I met the team for the first time.”
Karen Bennett, sales and marketing director, commercial mortgages, Shawbrook Bank, said: “I am pleased to announce Sarah and Adrian as two new additions to our commercial mortgages’ lending division, who will bring great value to our already strong offering and further enhance the support we offer to our broker partners.
“We always endeavour to find the very best candidates to join our team and I look forward to the wealth of experience and expertise both members will bring to their roles.”
