He will support Shawbrook’s business development managers and their brokers meet the demands of business and property professionals looking for loans above £750,000.
Rist will be based in London and Essex, although he will also be looking to develop business in areas with investment potential such as Glasgow, Manchester and Leeds.
Karen Bennett, sales and marketing director for commercial mortgages at Shawbrook, said: “Tim’s appointment strengthens the customer service proposition of the large loan product that we launched in March.
“Tim and other experienced resources we are adding across our commercial product team are testament to our continued focus on supporting our brokers at the forefront of client engagement.”
Rist previously spent four years at Aldermore in the commercial division, while before that he spent 12 years in the commercial team at Norwich and Peterborough Building Society.
