In her new role Kathryn – who was previously compliance manager – will be responsible for the compliance and financial crime teams, based at Skipton’s Bailey headquarters.
Kathryn is a real success story for the Society, having joined the company on its Youth Training Scheme in 1986. She spent a number of years in the branch network before being appointed as branch manager at York before returning to Skipton in 1995, as general correspondence manager in customer services. Kathryn moved to compliance in 2000 where she has been ever since.
Kathryn is a local girl, being from Gargrave, and has been married to Lucas for nearly five years. When not working, she enjoys studying, DIY and travelling. She also has plans to take part in a 120 mile coast-to-coast cycle challenge later this year.
Commenting on her new appointment, Kathryn said, “I have enjoyed my nineteen years with Skipton and am grateful for its superb education policy and the qualifications they have been able to support me in. I work with a great team, both in my immediate department and in the wider Society and look forward to continuing to work with them in the ongoing challenge to achieve compliance with a regulatory environment for the benefit of our members.”
