Skipton said that the purpose is to make things easier for home buyers as the service offers customers mortgage advice within 24 hours and a mortgage decision within five working days
Skipton Building Society for Intermediaries has announced that it has joined mortgage broker Trussle’s Speed Promise.
Skipton said that the purpose is to make things easier for home buyers as the service offers customers mortgage advice within 24 hours and a mortgage decision within five working days.
Trussle launched its Mortgage Speed Promise in September 2021 to offer customers greater speed for processing and decision making. Any customer who uses the Speed Promise but does not receive a decision within five days will receive £100, subject to terms and conditions.

“Over the last couple of years at Skipton, we have been working hard to streamline our processes and use technology to enable a slicker customer and broker experience. We are pleased to be working with Trussle through its Speed Promise and looking forward to supporting more customers with their mortgage requirements,” John Scrivens, regional manager at Skipton, said.
“Buying a new home should be an exciting time, and so it’s such a shame that it’s considered one of the most stressful processes in life. We want to make mortgage applications easier, and this starts by giving buyers certainty over their mortgage application as soon as possible,”
Amanda Aumonier, head of operations at Trussle, said. “By using technology and automation and working with lenders who are committed to overhauling slow and manual underwriting processes, we can cut the time it takes to give our customers a decision to a matter of days, without compromising on service. This will hopefully bring some of that excitement back to buying a home.”
