SMS which has had its best year since the credit crunch, surpassed its 2013 completion figures in August and is looking to further improve its offering to brokers by appointing The Mansfield.
And SMS’s CEO, Ian Balfour, says brokers have had to look beyond the major high street lenders as more clients have been turned away due to the box ticking nature of the underwriting.
He said: “SMS is seeing more enquiries from advisers looking for lenders prepared to look at their client as an individual rather than fitting him or her into a predesigned perfect mould.
“Fortunately, we are lucky to have lenders like the Mansfield on our panel, whose experienced human underwriters have the ability to look at each case in its totality, means that clients still have access to great products which are well priced.
“The Mansfield has a deserved reputation for being innovative with its products and has been very proactive in the purchase, remortgage and BTL sectors this year.”
Stuart Bryce, business development manager at The Mansfield, said: “We are delighted to be working with SMS and its introducers.
“They share our passion for good quality business and ensuring that clients and their advisers have the best lending alternatives to choose from. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship.”
