The team will develop the society's website applications and explore other electronic marketing opportunities.
Towards the end of 2003 the team plan to have redesigned the current website including improving navigation, implemented new services including financial planning services and a business to business area which will incorporate a section specifically for IFAs. They also plan to expand the services the society currently offers its members and IFAs by developing e-mail and mobile messaging communications.
Newly appointed e-commerce manager, Ross Hewitt said: "Leeds & Holbeck is a forward looking society and I aim to improve the ways in which we can better serve our customers, whether they are members of the public or business partners. The e-commerce team's plans will extend the ways in which we can be contacted. The improvements will work alongside our broker network, branches, call centre and postal services to give 24 hour a day access to the society.”
