For £8.25, clients of Solent introducers can obtain their complete file, including details of credit accounts held, CCJs, arrears and individual voluntary arrangements (IVA)without leaving a footprint on their credit score.
The service, available through Solent's Porthole, also gives intermediaries online access to agreement in principles (AIPs) and up to three alternative lending solutions for each enquiry as well as online applications, 24-hour case tracking and a full audit of business activity for compliance monitoring.
Solent's managing director, Kelvin Cooper, said: " It is vital that intermediaries are able to make recommendations based on accurate information. By offering this discounted service, Solent is helping introducers meet their obligation under Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) by ensuring that customers are aware of their credit history so that the advice can be tailored exactly to their needs."
Julie Lowe, head of operations of partnership mortgage solutions, commented: "This is just the kind of service which is typical of Solent’s attitude towards helping its introducers and their clients. Because of the reduced cost, more customers will want to see their credit files and it will ensure that lending recommendations are more accurate as a result of having access to this information at the start."
