Sort Group’s charity committee has raised its fundraising target for The Mental Health Foundation charity.
Sort Group’s Sort Refer, Sort Move and Sort Legal teams are working together to raise money for The Mental Health Foundation this year.
They have now revised their fundraising target from £1,000 to £3,000, after completing 80% of their original goal in four months.
The group chose The Mental Health Foundation charity because of the issues that have been raised from the implications of COVID-19.
Since starting the charity committee, the team has implemented ways of raising money internally and externally, including virtual quiz nights, virtual yoga sessions, dress down days and pet competitions.
Throughout March, employees set their own active challenge – either walking or running – and asked sponsors from friends, families, clients and other colleagues.
In total, Sort Group has raised over £400 from this one activity and walked a combined total of 4,340,715 steps.
