The Stamp Duty holiday comes to an end on Saturday, affecting first-time buyers all across the UK.
Plus Chancellor George Osborne warned that he will enforce heavy fines for non-compliance with Stamp Duty and those trying to avoid paying it.
Customers may be looking to save money on their home insurance when the stamp duty comes back into effect but Select & Protect believes cover should not be chosen simply because it is the cheapest.
The company said: “If a customer underestimates the value of their property or valuables when it comes to making a claim they may find that they are not covered.
“Select & Protect urges customers to select their home insurance based on quality to protect their valuables and home.
“This will help customers save on the pennies when it matters; at point of claim.”
