Matyas Nemeth, who played as a power forward for Szekesfehervar in Hungary, is among eight former students hand-picked to take part in the programme, during which time he will develop from trainee negotiator to assistant manager.
Spicerhaart launched the graduate management programme five years ago as part of a drive to develop its next generation of managers within its fast-growing residential lettings division.
Since then it has proved to be a huge success with a number of the trainees going on to secure senior position within the company.
Under the guidance of Kate Hurles, head of graduate development, this year’s successful candidates will spend the next nine months dividing their time between the Spicerhaart training centre and their respective branches.
Once they have successfully completed the scheme, they will be eligible to apply for managerial positions available within the company’s residential lettings group or help launch and manage new branches that are scheduled to open.
Last year Spicerhaart registered over 40,000 prospective tenants and administered thousands of properties on behalf of landlords around the UK.
Andrew Benn, managing director of Spicerhaart Residential Lettings, said: “Our staff are the lifeblood of our business, which is why we are so keen to invest in the future through initiatives such as our management training programme.
"It provides young people with a clear career path within the industry as well as the opportunity to progress to senior positions within the business.”
