Stamp duty won’t have an impact

Following an analysis of its properties, whitehotproperty.co.uk, a leading seller of chain free properties (repossessions, probate and part exchanged properties), has found that almost half (49.3%) of its properties on the whitehot property site are currently under the new returning stamp duty threshold of £125,000 planned for 2010.

whitehot property is currently offering incentives to help home buyers purchase their dream home. Along with the Assisted Purchase scheme and the payment of deposits and legal fees, the payment of stamp duty has been one of the other popular incentives offered by them to help buyers find an affordable property.

Robin King, director of whitehotproperty.co.uk, commented: "The findings from the analysis are quite revealing. Whilst our 'stamp duty paid' incentive has proven to be popular, come the New Year there will still be a significant number of homes falling under the stamp duty threshold, indicating that buyers will not have to worry about the impact of the stamp duty's return as much as was initially feared."
