Ted York, managing director at Berkeley Alexander Insurance Services, comments: "We know from our IFA agency base how highly they value The Exchange and we are delighted to form a strategic partnership that will enable IFAÃs to access our range of general insurance products and earn valuable commission."
The alliance will mean that Berkeley Alexander will promote The Exchange to all its business introducers, including IFAs and non-regulated brokers. In addition the insurer will adopt The ExchangeÃs mortgage sourcing service as one of its preferred partners.
The deal will give IFAs and non-regulated intermediary members access to life and health protection comparative quote services, with on-line new business processing and mortgage services.
The mortgage module comprises mortgage sourcing, conveyancing, credit checking and a lender panel with enhanced procuration fees, mortgage product exclusives, mortgage advice desk and on-line case tracking.
The general insurance products from Berkeley Alexander include; Safetynet, which offers income/unemployment protection, Freesafe a mortgage payment protection plan (ASU), and HospitalCare, a cash benefit health insurance policy.
Chris Baker, director of product marketing at The Exchange, said: "We are very pleased to be working with Berkeley Alexander. It has some very innovative products that will now be more readily accessible to Exchange customers, and the partnership arrangement will help to extend our services still further into the mortgage intermediary and non-regulated broker market."
