New hire enhances intermediary relations in central London
Suffolk Building Society has announced the appointment of Beth Hillman as the new business development manager for central London.
In this role, Hillman (pictured) will be tasked with nurturing the company's relationships with mortgage brokers and intermediaries, ensuring they receive the support necessary to maintain efficient and flexible services. She will report to Charlotte Grimshaw, the head of intermediary relations and mortgage sales.
“Beth will be a huge asset to Suffolk Building Society, bringing with her key learnings from her time as an adviser - something we’re sure she’ll use to her advantage to further strengthen our service proposition,” Grimshaw said.
Hillman expressed enthusiasm about her new position, emphasising her commitment to leveraging her expertise to facilitate the growth of Suffolk Building Society's presence in the area.
“I am looking forward to expanding the society’s reach in central London,” Hillman said. “By providing pre-DIP approvals, manual underwriting and direct access to underwriters, brokers can rely on the Suffolk team to help them shape cases and proactively advance applications.”

Bringing over seven years of experience in the financial services industry, particularly in mortgages, Hillman previously served as a mortgage and protection adviser. Her career has also included significant interaction with the mortgage sector across the Suffolk region, including Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, and Sudbury, aligning her closely with the society's focus on community-oriented service.
Her position has been established as part of Suffolk Building Society's ongoing efforts to enhance its engagement with intermediary partners, particularly in the central London area. The firm has indicated that key account firms will remain under the supervision of Andrew Sadler, its key account manager, who will also maintain his role as the primary contact for mortgage clubs and networks.
