Mortgages Direct is currently undergoing a massive recruitment drive. Already 16 brokers have been recruited since January and the company is still looking to recruit 37 more.
Peter Gladdy, Director of Mortgages Direct, expresses his surprise at the recent commentary on the housing market slowdown; “Activity levels were down towards the end of last year because of four recent interest rate rises and continued scaremongering. However, since the start of this year we have seen a increase in activity, with a 100% increase in mortgage applications, and we need to respond accordingly.”
