Lane is being sponsored by her employers at Rapport and by specialist investment managers, Deepbridge.
She said: “The Andrew Grene Foundation is a cause close to my heart and so I wanted to do something that is a bit different to raise much needed funds.
“As I have previously undertaken various UK-based half and full marathons the New York Marathon was the natural choice as it is renowned as a challenging course and is a well-known event.
"I am extremely grateful to Rapport and Deepbridge for enabling me to do this but I continue to seek sponsorship for this great charity. Any support is welcome."
