This brings the number of lenders sponsoring the TCF Lender Forum and www.tcfinfo.co.uk to 28 – spread across 37 brands. The website has been instrumental in helping intermediaries get to grips with their treating customers fairly (TCF) obligations by providing free of charge plain English guides, checklists, tips and tools for brokers to download and adapt for training or business needs.
Greg Janes, national intermediary sales manager at Principality, said: “From the outset many intermediaries struggled with understanding how to translate TCF principles into day to day business practice and www.tcfinfo has provided many of the answers. We are delighted to lend our support to an initiative which is clearly succeeding in helping brokers understand and get on with what they need to do in order to implement TCF.”
Pollyanna Hughes, head of marketing at Mortgages plc added: “TCF Info has gone on to deliver what it promised in its early days and we are keen to help it continue to develop further to meet broker needs. In particular we are attracted to the concept of pooling resources to provide a ‘one stop shop’ of intermediary TCF support.”
Frank Eve, chairman of the TCF Lender Forum said: “The growing number of supporters of the TCF Lender Forum and its website is indicative of the lending industry’s commitment to TCF and the embedding of TCF into their own cultures. Even more importantly, it is excellent news for smaller introducers who, without compliance departments, may still be struggling to understand what they need to do in order to meet the TCF deadlines - and excellent news for their end customers who stand to reap the benefits.”
