The building society confirmed it is on the Homes and Communities list of approved lenders as a previous supporter of FirstBuy and its predecessor HomeBuy Direct.
A spokeswoman for Teachers Building Society said it just has to update its product accordingly as there have been some changes to eligibility for the scheme.
She said: “We’re already receiving enquiries about Help to Buy so we will be publishing product information and scheme details on our website as soon as possible.”
Currently only three lenders - Halifax, Lloyds TSB and the Woolwich - have launched products to accommodate the new scheme which launched on 1 April following the unveiling of the Help to Buy Scheme in the Budget the month before.
Sue Anderson, head of member and external relations at the Council of Mortgage Lenders, described the timescale as “tight” but was confident that a number of lenders are looking at the scheme.
