Created in conjunction with the Institute of Financial Planning, it offers numerous advantages to advisers who already hold partial qualifications towards diploma - including not having to sit a formal exam.
Instead, Tenet’s ‘Certified Financial Planner’ route gives advisers the opportunity to achieve the required professional qualifications by attending two structured training days hosted by a CFP (Certified Financial Planner) professional and completing a financial case study over a 12-week period.
In order to be eligible, candidates will need to hold specific examinations in tax (either JO1, G10 or AF1), plus a further advanced subject. And because Tenet is an accredited training centre, it can offer a discount of up to 60 per cent on training and assessment fees.
In addition, the programme is the equivalent of a QCF level six qualification and carries exemption from the CII AF5 paper, which is the compulsory module for Chartered Financial Planner status.
“We are confident this new Certified Financial Planner option will appeal greatly to advisers who have the pre-qualification requirements, but do not wish to have to sit further examinations,” explained distribution & development director, Keith Richards.
