The Brightstar Group has renewed its partnership with Aaron Beard (pictured), a young Essex and former England U19’s cricketer, who will spearhead the Young Brightstars sponsorship programme.
Beard made his first-class debut for Essex against Sri Lanka in 2016 at the age of 18, and he was also part of the Essex side that won both the County Championship and Vitality Blast.
The 23 year-old has renewed his contract as brand ambassador for the Brightstar Group and will soon be able to continue representing the group as part of its Young Brightstars programme when the cricket season starts later in the year.
The Brightstar Group launched Young Brightstars in 2018 to support the development of young people in work and sport.
Over the past three years, Brightstar has provided bursaries to invest in the development of outstanding young sports stars and encouraged young people to engage with the world of financial services with work experience placements, taster days and mentoring opportunities as part of its Young Learners Programme.
The success of the programme has also resulted in the recruitment of new members to the team.
Rob Jupp, group chief executive at The Brightstar Group, said: “Aaron has already shown himself to be a great asset to The Brightstar Group and we are delighted to renew our partnership for another year.
"I am confident this will be his breakthrough season at the very top level, and I hope that, by the time the summer comes, we will be in a position where it is safe to watch him play cricket in person and maybe arrange some fun events.”
Aaron Beard from Essex Cricket added: “I’m extremely happy to be part of the Brightstar team for another year.
"It’s been amazing getting to know the business more and to see how much hard work, time and effort goes into such a motivated, well-run, successful business.
"I hope that this year is a better year to have more fun events planned and interact more with Rob, Clare and the brilliant staff they have.”
