The Exchange’s electronic new business service enables intermediaries to submit applications online directly to product providers to benefit from enhanced commission where available and faster payments. In addition the built in validation capability of the service reduces the risk of errors being made on application forms.
The step-by-step guide uses a combination of text and illustrated images to demonstrate how to:
Create an application from an Exweb quotation and match this application to a client record in their back office system if appropriate.
Automatically transfer data from the quotation and client record into the application form.
Complete the application form and automatically check that all information required has been entered correctly.
Save the application form for completion at a later stage if necessary.
Print the client declaration.
Send the application electronically to the provider.
Store the completed application against the client record in their back office system.
Additional guidance is given on how to create an application without having done a quotation first, take an application form offline if the intermediary wants to work on it without being connected to Exweb and retrieve completed applications once they have been submitted to the provider.
Intermediaries can download the guide from the ‘Buy’ section of www.exchange.co.uk or call 01932 586005 to request a copy.
David Child, managing director at The Exchange, comments: “More and more intermediaries are starting to submit applications electronically and we want to make it as easy as possible for them to do so. To do this we have developed our service based on feedback from intermediaries to ensure it fits their business process and delivers practical benefits. The launch of the step-by-step guide is a continuation of our drive to ensure intermediaries are in a position to take advantage of the benefits e-commerce can deliver.”
