Headed by Lester Killip the team will offer financial advisory services to retail customers, and will move from Brighton to Thinc Destini’s offices in Lewes.
"This provides our clients with access to a wide range of products and services, and allows them to retain their relationship with their existing team" said Beverly Sawyers, head of Retail Investment Services at American Express.
The news follows Thinc Destini’s announcement at its inaugural conference that it intends to increase its advisory force by a further 50% this year.
Simon Chamberlain, Thinc Destini chief executive, said, “We are delighted to add an experienced and highly qualified team to our ranks and will continue to look after their clients in the same professional and personal way to which they are accustomed.
Chamberlain added “We expect to announce further developments in our recruitment strategy in the next few weeks. The fact that an adviser can become part of the Thinc Destini story on their own terms, as our model offers all permissions, is something that is proving increasingly attractive. Our infrastructure is now in place for ambitious and rapid growth in the coming months.”
