Three new BDMs join LiveMore’s sales team

Later life lender LiveMore has announced the addition of three new business development managers (BDMs) to its sales team, each covering a different region.

Darren Cunliffe has been assigned to oversee the North West, Brian Sanford has been appointed to look after the East and West Midlands, and Nikola Sukara has been recruited to manage the North East and Yorkshire.

All three BDMs will report to Phil Quinn (pictured), head of intermediary sales, who said he was thrilled to welcome the new hires as the lender prepares for further growth plans.

“We’re on a mission to deliver more choice and better outcomes for a woefully underserved market, and the growth and developments within our team are an exciting step along the way,” Quinn added.

Cunliffe has 30 years of experience in financial services, 20 of those years as a broker and 10 as a BDM with Nationwide Building Society and Vida Homeloans.

“With the experience and connections I have built up over the past 30 years as both a BDM and a broker, I can relate to the intermediaries I work with,” Cunliffe commented. “I have been there myself which really helps me to understand their challenges, problems, and how to provide effective solutions.”

Sanford has worked for lenders and networks in BDM and regional sales manager roles at CHL Mortgages, Sesame Network, Vida Homeloans, Primis Network, and Skipton Building Society.

He said joining LiveMore provides an opportunity to work within a fast-paced business which is changing the way the mortgage market accommodates the over 50s market.

“The potential is huge, this is a sector that is ripe for expansion and needs a lender like LiveMore with a can-do attitude,” Sanford remarked.

Sukara has been in sales for five years and mortgages for the last 18 months at Bluestone Mortgages. He believes his experience in the specialist market will help him promote the later life lender’s proposition in his assigned region.

“I am very excited to join such a fantastic lender who has a unique proposition in the market and is able to help customers who have been underserved by mainstream lenders,” Sukara said.

LiveMore recently appointed mortgage veteran David Finlay to its senior executive team. It also expanded its product range just a week ago with the launch of its first ever capital and interest mortgage for borrowers aged 50 to 85.
