The changes are major, but costs have been kept within a sensible budget.
The extranet facility now includes a free integrated quotation platform for clients that was developed in conjunction with Assureweb. A third of threesixty’s clients have already switched from other quotation providers to using this facility, and many more are expected to follow. Over forthcoming months, more services will be delivered via the extranet, including online courses and examinations that have been developed using the knowledge and experience gained from threesixty’s training facility, The Academy.
The public website now includes more useful information as well as articles giving anyone, especially potential clients, a taste of what threesixty has to offer.
A text-only version of the website is also available, which means that the site can be accessed by blind or partially blind users who use ‘screen readers’ that read out a website’s text.
Phil Young, partner at threesixty, commented: “Having seen other groups blow huge technology budgets to no real end, we wanted to ensure that we didn’t make the same mistake. We have concentrated on using technology to make our already excellent services even more accessible, rather than developing technology for its own sake. We place strong emphasis on usability and have worked to ensure that we pass the major accessibility tests imposed by the Disability Discrimination Act. This is something we will continue to improve on all the time, because the new website gives us the perfect platform to develop new functionality quickly.”
