A football tournament featuring teams from the financial services industry has been organised to raise money for the people affected by the war in Ukraine.
The Money Group (TMG) announced that it will be hosting the tournament on May 11, 2022 at the Derby County football ground Pride Park.
TMG and Create Finance already have their own teams to field on the tournament date. However, others within the industry can still join, whether they want to form their own team or be part of a combined team.
The competition aims to raise money not only for those in need in Ukraine, but also for the benefit of grassroots sports clubs.
“We are delighted we are able to bring back this tournament after COVID. TMG has always been about collaboration, and we are keen to share the day with the entire financial services industry.
We can’t wait to bring this great industry together to raise money for two great causes,” Rebecca Taylor, head of operations at The Money Group, said.
“We are thrilled to be part of this initiative and the ability to give back not only to the people of Ukraine, but also to our local sports clubs via grassroots sports. As a Derby County fan, it will be a once in a lifetime experience which myself and our staff are extremely excited to be part of,” Aaron Forster, director of Create Finance, said.
