Lender plans to combine its roving underwriter teams, for commercial and personal finance, into one
Specialist property lender Together has added two new roving underwriters, Chris Evans (pictured left) and Emma Ogilvie (pictured right), to its intermediary sales team.
With 20 years of industry experience, Evans will lead the team of commercial rovers while also underwriting commercial applications for Together. His background includes a decade at Legal & General in intermediary wealth, eight years as a mortgage broker, and time at Pepper Money as head of referrals.
“The opportunity presented to me was exciting – I worked with Together in my time as a broker and I love how it operates,” Evans said. “To be a part of that culture was a big draw to me.
“The responsibility that comes with this role is also something that I find appealing, and I think it’s a position that will allow me to make a positive impact on the brokers I look after.”
Meanwhile, Ogilvie joins as a commercial finance roving underwriter, leveraging nine years of experience, starting as a trainee broker at The Buy to Let Business. She also brings a wealth of experience from roles at Dynamo for Intermediaries and Knowledge Bank.
“From my previous position working directly with Together, I already had a lot of love for the company,” Ogilvie said. “It really enables more people who perhaps might not have otherwise been considered to achieve their property ambitions, and its lending stance isn’t black and white.”
The appointments coincide with Together’s consolidation of its roving underwriter teams – for commercial and personal finance – to enhance efficiency within the intermediaries team.
“We are delighted to welcome Chris and Emma to the team,” commented Tanya Elmaz, director of intermediary sales at Together. “They have a huge amount of experience across the industry, and a good understanding of our company and values from working with us in the past.
“They will both play key roles in our roving underwriter team, supporting our incredible partners to help customers achieve their property ambitions.”
