Steve Hughes, chief executive at Principality Building Society, said: “I’m proud to announce the promotion of Tom Denman to chief financial officer, following a rigorous recruitment process. Tom will work alongside me to provide strong financial leadership to the board and the wider business.
"He’ll be responsible for ensuring profitable growth, strong financial control, driving cost efficiency and maintaining our strong capital and liquidity position.
“Since joining the Society he’s been instrumental in driving and implementing successful strategies within our finance function including finance business partnering, product pricing improvements, financial planning and modelling.
“He has both the technical experience and leadership capability to complement our senior leadership team. Above all, Tom has a strong understanding of what it means to be a mutual and to put our Members and customers’ interests first.”
