As part of its annual Mortgage Weeks, all promotional materials feature characters and lines from the Wizard of Oz, the classic 1939 film starring Judy Garland. Commenting on the campaign, Kevin Robinson, Universal’s chief executive, said: “The Wizard of Oz is a very popular film and we chose to use the characters as they are instantly recognisable. The posters will draw people’s attention to our branches and provide a welcoming and distinctive sight.”
Taking place at Universal branches across the region, the Mortgage Weeks are held every year to give people an opportunity to find out more about mortgages and home ownership in an informal environment. Members of the public are invited to drop in for a chat and a cup of tea with Universal’s mortgage advisers. Every new customer will have the chance to win £50 of Marks & Spencer vouchers.
