The FSA, in all its fines, has not yet issued one for MPPI failings, raising question marks over the decision to include MPPI as part of the Competition Commission study. At the original decision, the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries and the Council of Mortgage Lenders expressed disappointment at the inclusion of MPPI, which raises concerns as to their voice. Are these trade bodies really being heard? I hope so, but sadly doubt it.
