The integrated system will enable Mortgage Brain users to source any product from the West Brom for Intermediaries range which includes prime, non-prime and buy-to-let mortgages. They will be able to complete an intelligent application form via Mortgage Brain’s Mortgage Trading Exchange (MTE), which seamlessly transfers data to the West Brom for Intermediaries website (www.westbromforintermediaries.co.uk) and gives intermediaries an immediate Decision in Principle (DIP). Assuming the decision is positive, brokers are then able to continue with the application process online.
This integrated facility is particularly helpful to mortgage brokers whose compliance regime is based on the Mortgage Brain system. A similar facility has been launched with Trigold, making West Brom for Intermediaries one of the first lenders to successfully integrate their own mortgage systems with both sourcing systems.
Mark Lowndes, e-commerce and planning manager at West Brom, said: "West Brom for Intermediaries recognises the importance which the sourcing engines play in the working lives of mortgage brokers. Brokers now have the choice of being able to access our online system direct, or via either of the two leading sourcing systems: Mortgage Brain and Trigold.
“Our feedback indicates that, although online offers may be hitting the headlines at the moment, they will only be appropriate for a minority of cases. For most applications, brokers still value being able to obtain an immediate decision in principle online.”
