With a focus on business diversification MBE London delegates will be able to access key providers in the commercial property finance market at the Zone. These providers will be on hand to provide expert advice and answer any questions delegates might have about the sector and how they can grow their businesses.
The Zone also features the Commercial Property Finance Seminar Theatre with a full-two day programme of sessions, organised in association with the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB). Key speakers from the market will be providing insight and analysis on the key issues and how they relate to brokers. The seminars will be chaired by Adam Tyler, Chief Executive of NACFB and include:
· How to make the most of bridging finance. John Maclean, Managing Director, Link Lending.
· An introduction into commercial finance. Peter Caldicott, Head of Commercial Broker Unit, HSBC.
· Specialist commercial lending – underwriting challenges. David Whittaker, Mortgages for Business.
· How to be a successful commercial finance broker. David Sampson, Regional Development Manager, Omega.
On Day 2 John Maclean will be replaced by Gareth Lewis, National Sales Manager at Cheval; Peter Caldicott will be replaced by Craig Leyland, Head of Business Development at NatWest; and David Sampson will be replaced by Marcus Grimshaw, Director at Fiducia Group.
Daniel Nwaokolo, MBE London 2008 Director, commented: “Once again we are pleased to offer delegates a dedicated Commercial Property Finance Zone. Many advisers are looking for sectors to branch into and the commercial property market provides a number of opportunities. The Zone will feature commercial property finance providers plus a range of information for delegates through the seminar sessions. We are delighted to be working alongside the NACFB in putting together the content of the Zone and believe advisers will gain a great deal from a visit to MBE London and the Commercial Property Zone in particular. We look forward to bringing commercial brokers and providers together in Earl’s Court 2 next month.”
Peter Caldicott, Head of Commercial Broker Unit, HSBC, said: “I’m delighted to be presenting at MBE London for the second year in succession. The importance of diversification amongst intermediaries has never been more relevant. With just under 20% of commercial mortgages being placed by brokers this year, the opportunities are clear to see. I will be presenting on the products and opportunities available and have no doubt the commercial finance market will play an instrumental role for those wishing, not only to survive but thrive through the current difficulties. HSBC is proud to work closely with the NACFB and is particularly keen to ensure intermediaries looking to enter this market are informed and work in close alliance with an NACFB accredited member."
