For this edition of MITV, we meet Mark Hollands, head of sales and distribution at specialist lender Bluestone Mortgages. Hollands shares how he fell into the financial services business by accident. He didn’t enjoy school and wanted to become a professional footballer. But, a chance job interview at a building society was the start of his career. With experience, too, of working ‘on the other side of the fence’ as a broker, Hollands believes he can relate to the challenges faced by advisers today. “The more that you do adverse credit mortgages, the more customers you will see come your way,” he says.
