- What was your work before entering the industry?
Before I entered the industry, I worked in executive recruitment and labour hire.
- How often do you see brokers in a week?
I’m in touch with brokers around six times a week to ensure things are running smoothly, and they have everything they need, including a full understanding of tim. and the products.
- What do brokers want most from you?
Brokers value honesty and the ability to close their deals, so we strive to bring these to every opportunity. This honest approach has been the foundation of tim., as our clients and brokers know what they’re getting with us and that we’re not there to make a quick buck.
- What is your favourite part of the job?
For me, it would have to be solving issues for people and guiding them to the best solutions. It’s knowing we can provide a great service, and we have funds for growing SMEs. Essentially, it’s about easing pressures on SMEs so that they have the freedom to focus on their business and its growth.
- What distinguishes the best brokers you deal with?
The best brokers have knowledge and experience in their field. They’ve also built trust with their clients through honesty and integrity. Without these key pillars, they will struggle to have a successful relationship. That’s the reason these pillars are very important to tim.
- Describe your ideal weekend.
Some things are best left unsaid.
- What’s the strangest lending scenario you’ve ever encountered?
I provided invoice finance to a medical professional who gives psychology consulting services to governments around the world. It was so secret we couldn’t even begin to know anything about to whom or for what the “consulting services” invoices were for, or where they were going.
- What's your top time-saving tip and how much time does it save you?
Be straight with people. Because if you’re not, the truth will come out, then you’ll look like an idiot and lose credibility.
- What’s your favourite meal?
It would involve red meat and is usually washed down by a beer or two.
