Takes over broker role after Adam Croucher's departure from CommBank
Razia Khan has been confirmed as general manager, third party banking at Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
Khan (pictured above), who has worked at CBA for 15 years, was given the role of acting GM of third party banking in June after Adam Croucher left CommBank. On Friday, the bank confirmed that following an extensive recruitment process Khan would take on the role formally.
A highly experienced executive, Khan has undertaken a number of roles at CBA, most recently as general manager acquisition and retention – a remit that covered all homebuying channels and provided her with a solid grounding to support CommBank’s third party banking channel.
Khan, who was recently featured in the August edition of MPA magazine for her efforts in championing diversity, will be supported by Baber Zaka, who has taken on the role of chief operating officer, third party banking.
Zaka brings extensive experience to this role having spent close to a decade at CommBank and recently held the role of executive manager, third party banking distribution strategy and partnership management.
CBA executive general manager home buying Dr Michael Baumann said during her time at the Commonwealth Bank, Khan “had led a number of successful initiatives that have resulted in improved outcomes for our customers and I look forward to this continuing with our brokers”.
Khan said she was looking forward to continuing to build on the strong relationships the bank has with brokers, “empowering them to achieve more for their clients and giving them more confidence with CommBank".
“As a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, I’m also looking forward to opportunities where I can champion the critical role and benefits this can bring the industry,” Khan said.
Khan replaces Croucher, who had notched up 18 years with CBA, and had been general manager third party banking since 2019.
