It is recognised for its commitment to employee engagement and satisfaction
Alternative asset manager La Trobe Financial has been named one of Australia’s top 50 best places to work.
The recognition follows a two-year focus on employee engagement and satisfaction under chief executive Chris Andrews (pictured above).
“La Trobe Financial is honoured to be recognised as one of Australia’s employers of choice and remains committed to fostering a positive and engaging work environment,” Andrews said in a statement.
The rankings were determined by a survey commissioned by The Australian and conducted by WorkL, a UK-based firm specialising in employee engagement. More than 200 La Trobe Financial employees participated in the survey, which assessed various aspects of workplace strategies and satisfaction.
The company secured its spot on the Top 50 list with a minimum employee engagement score of 70%. La Trobe Financial also scored highly across six key drivers: reward and recognition, information sharing, empowerment, wellbeing, pride, and job satisfaction.

La Trobe Finance was also recognised by Mortgage Professional Australia as one of the 2023 Top Mortgage Employers that are creating workplaces where employees feel valued and recognised.
“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our people leaders and their unwavering dedication and commitment in achieving this remarkable accolade,” said Annie Sestito, chief people and marketing officer at La Trobe Financial. “It is their focus on nurturing and supporting the company’s most valuable resource, our people, that has been instrumental in this achievement.
“Additionally, as a company, we have focussed our efforts on enhancing the employee experience and provided invaluable support to leaders across the organisation. We have made improvements to our on-boarding and off-boarding processes, general HR procedures, and ensured equal opportunities for all employees to grow their careers and make a difference with us. We are thrilled that the market recognises these efforts and align us within the Top 50 best places to work.”
