Find out who sits among the country's best, under the age of 35
MPA has announced its 2025 Rising Stars list, highlighting the top-performing mortgage brokers in Australia under the age of 35.
As brokers continue to handle the majority of home loan transactions – accounting for nearly 75% of mortgages in 2024 – this recognition comes at a time of ongoing industry challenges, including rising interest rates and affordability concerns.
The brokers featured on this year’s list have navigated an evolving lending environment, balancing business growth with increasing client expectations. Many have incorporated technology to streamline operations and adapted to changes, such as open banking, to offer more tailored financial solutions.
Selection criteria and process
Now in its 14th year, the Rising Stars list identifies emerging talent in the mortgage industry. To be eligible, brokers had to meet the following requirements:
- Be 35 years old or younger
- Have written at least $15 million in loans between October 1, 2023, and September 30, 2024
- Have worked as an accredited mortgage broker for no more than two years
MPA invited mortgage companies across Australia to nominate high-achieving brokers who met these criteria. Nominees provided detailed submissions outlining their professional achievements, while industry peers also contributed recommendations.
Following a thorough review, MPA selected 50 brokers who demonstrated strong performance and industry impact early in their careers.
