Christine Xu has consistently been in the top 10 of CMP’s Top 75 Brokers since 2014 and is a familiar face on CMP’s Hot List. After graduating from the University of Toronto with a degree in economics and East Asian studies, Xu worked in the banking and investment field until 2000, when she started her mortgage career.
Today, Xu owns her own 30-agentstrong brokerage and has twice been named Broker of the Year – Alternative Lending at the Canadian Mortgage Awards. In addition, she received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012 for her community volunteer work. In 2019, Xu added to her successful track record by starting a mutual fund trust, Ready Capital Mortgage Investment Trust.
“The thing I most enjoy about my work is constantly dealing with new challenges and learning about new things,” Xu says. “My motto is, ‘Be honest and kind, to yourself and your clients.’”
