For mortgage brokers, one of the most important parts of day-to-day work is how they interact with lenders across the country – and Canadian Mortgage Professional can now reveal how those lenders have performed in the eyes of brokers during the last year with the Brokers on Lenders 2022 report.
That annual report gives brokers the opportunity to have their say on the service they’ve received from lenders across multiple categories including turnaround time, underwriter support, broker support, and overall service levels, with the results now available to view, for free, here.
During a year that presented its own fair share of unique challenges for lending institutions and brokers alike, find out which lenders – including Hosper Mortgage, B2B Bank, and Strive – went above and beyond to provide outstanding service and support for their broker partners and clients.
To determine which lenders had performed the best in the eyes of the Canadian broker community, CMP asked brokers to rate the lenders they work with across 10 key areas, while also asking them to give their verdict on important aspects of the broker-lender relationship such as how commissions and bonuses could change, and what influences their thinking when sending deals to banks rather than monoline lenders.
Lenders were ranked for each category in order of merit according to an average score calculated from the ratings they received from brokers. The top three A lenders and alternative lenders in each category were awarded a gold, silver or bronze medal, with lenders’ combined average score from all categories determining the overall gold, silver and bronze medalists.
