Finsure NZ partners with Vega

More developments expected soon

Finsure NZ partners with Vega

Vega, a top advisory firm, has joined forces with Finsure, New Zealand's latest mortgage aggregator. The partnership announced this week promises to bring innovative solutions to the financial industry.

New Zealand Adviser reached out to Finsure NZ’s country manager, Jenny Campbell (pictured above centre), to understand what this means for Finsure and its importance for the aggregator’s future plans.

“The last 12 months have been a bit of a blur, to be honest” Campbell said. “When I first met the team at Finsure, they promised to shake up the NZ adviser market and I think we’re doing just that.”

Finsure to take Vega to the ‘next level’

Founded by Harry Ferreira (pictured above left), Vega has grown into one of New Zealand’s largest advisory services, offering a diverse range of finance solutions to their customers.

Ferreira said Vega was excited about the new partnership with Finsure NZ.

“In such a competitive market, we are always looking for ways to give our advisers the best possible tools to remain ahead of the competition,” he said.

“That is why when Finsure NZ announced they were opening, we were keen to understand what opportunities might be available.”

After a detailed due diligence process, Ferreira said he discovered that their technology offering and wide range of support services, including a dedicated credit support team, were just what the company were looking for to help it achieve its growth targets and “take Vega to the next level”.

Finsure: Advisor groups embracing change

Finsure NZ is owned by its Australian counterpart, which has over 3,000 mortgage broker members across the ditch.

While Finsure New Zealand has ensured it operates as a separate company, it draws upon the experience and knowledge held across the Tasman as it hopes to expand after spotting a “gap in the market” last July.

Finsure Group CEO Simon Bednar (pictured above right) said the aggregator was thrilled to be welcoming Vega to the Finsure family.

“From our very first conversation, we knew that a partnership between Vega and Finsure was a good fit for both organisations,” Bednar said. “Whilst we were confident our support services and technology would help Vega achieve their goals, it was our shared cultures that really stood out.

“Like Finsure, Vega pride themselves on their close-knit family environment, so we’re incredibly excited to welcome them into our own Finsure family.”

Campbell said she was delighted for her team to be working with the advisers from Vega.

“Yesterday’s announcement highlights how advisor groups are willing to embrace change and consider new options that help them unlock their full potential,” she said. “I can confidently say Finsure is proud to be a driver of that change.”

Finsure: More innovation coming

Campbell said that the recent partnership was just the beginning, with more developments expected in the coming months.

Next week, Campbell said Finsure NZ will be officially launching its Women in Finsure NZ initiative, which puts a spotlight on equality and diversity in the industry.

“We’re hoping this sparks a conversation in the industry and helps drive positive change for all advisers,” she said.

“With plenty more exciting initiatives planning over the next 12 months, including the introduction of AI into our Infynity CRM, an innovative compliance framework and the rollout of brand-new business innovation services to accelerate growth, I am confident we’ll be able to deliver on our original promise – with advisors to reap the benefits.”
