Top Mortgage Employers for 2024 unveiled
Employees in New Zealand are experiencing high levels of job satisfaction, with 60% reporting happiness in the workplace, according to Gallup’s State of the Global Workplace 2024 survey.
This figure is significantly above the global average of 34%.
In light of these positive trends, NZ Adviser has released its list of the Top Mortgage Employers of 2024, which highlights companies within the mortgage industry that are excelling at maintaining strong employee satisfaction, even in the face of ongoing economic pressures and staffing challenges.
The companies that made the list were recognised for prioritising:
- providing opportunities for career advancement and skill development;
- maintaining supportive and safe workplace cultures;
- offering benefits to offset rising living costs; and
- promoting work-life balance through flexible work options.
How the top employers were selected
NZ Adviser’s selection process involved two main phases.
In the first phase, mortgage companies were asked to submit details about their workplace practices, including benefits, training opportunities, and other employee-focused initiatives.
In the second phase, employees from nominated companies participated in an anonymous survey, rating their employers on factors such as compensation, professional development, company culture, and the overall work environment.
Companies that achieved a satisfaction rate of 75% or more were awarded the title of Top Mortgage Employer.
