Movera invests in AI-powered conveyancing tool

Home moving group Movera has announced a strategic investment in Collaborative Conveyancing to streamline how conveyancers manage enquiries.

The partnership aims to enhance conveyancing processes through the use of Collaborative Conveyancing’s Enquiry Manager, a platform powered by artificial intelligence (AI) and designed to accelerate property transactions.

Movera’s portfolio includes brands such as LMS, ONP Solicitors, and Cavendish Legal Group. The investment is intended to support the growth of Enquiry Manager, which uses AI and natural language processing (NLP) to automate the traditionally slow and manual process of handling pre-contract enquiries.

Currently, the enquiry process can delay transactions by several weeks. Enquiry Manager simplifies this by extracting information from emails and attachments and automatically organising it within a centralised system, helping conveyancing firms respond to enquiries more efficiently, cutting down transaction times and reducing administrative workloads.

The platform is set to roll out across Movera’s conveyancing brands, including ONP and Cavendish Legal Group. By tracking the time spent managing enquiries, Movera, LMS, and Collaborative Conveyancing hope to demonstrate a substantial reduction in transaction times.

“Movera is dedicated to improving and speeding up the home buying and selling process through digital innovation,” said Nick Hale (pictured left), chief executive of Movera. “Our investment in, and partnership with, Collaborative Conveyancing is yet another step we are taking to help achieve this.

“We believe that digital innovation and automation are key to enhancing customer experiences and streamlining processes. The use of Enquiry Manager will enable our property lawyers to spend more time focused on what they do best: providing the technical support and guidance for clients, creating experiences that are digital when they can be, and personal when they need to be.”

Collaborative Conveyancing’s co-founder, Chris Harris (pictured right), highlighted the need for innovation in the conveyancing sector.

“Enquiries have been on the lips of conveyancers for a number of years now,” he said. “I am delighted that we have joined forces with LMS and Movera at this crucial time to offer an automated and measurable solution to the way enquiries are raised and responded to.”
