Bridging lenders expand broker support teams

Two specialist lenders, Market Harborough Building Society and Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB), have expanded their teams to enhance support for brokers and drive growth in the bridging finance sector.

Market Harborough has appointed Bradley Street (pictured left) as specialist business development manager (BDM) and Michaela Moran (pictured centre) as helpdesk and telephone sales team lead.

Street will focus on strengthening relationships with brokers in South London and the South Coast, areas where he has built a strong reputation through previous roles at Hodge Bank and Pepper Homeloans. Moran, who brings over 20 years of experience, will lead the enhanced telephone helpdesk team, providing brokers with quick responses to case and criteria queries.

“I’m delighted to welcome Brad and Michaela,” said Iain Smith, head of the mortgage distribution team at Market Harborough Building Society. “Their roles reflect our commitment to provide additional support to existing partners and widen our reach to help even more brokers to solve their complex cases.”

Meanwhile, Hampshire Trust Bank has appointed Daniel Smith (pictured right) as BDM for the Anglia and Midlands region.

Smith, who joins from Alternative Bridging Corporation, brings extensive experience in building broker relationships and understanding their needs in the bridging market. In his new role, Smith will focus on supporting HTB’s key accounts and onboarding new brokers.

HTB continues to invest in its bridging proposition with recent enhancements, including a heavy refurbishment product and dual representation. The bank has also introduced new business development executive roles to provide brokers with consistent points of contact.

“Adding someone of Daniel’s calibre strengthens our service-first approach,” said Lorenzo Satchell, sales director of bridging at Hampshire Trust Bank. “With his expertise, brokers will have the support and solutions they need to deliver for their clients.”
