An Octopus Property spokeswoman said: “Nick has made the decision to move on and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
“In the short-term Nick’s responsibilities will be assumed by the senior management team.”
Before joining Octopus Property McAuliffe spent 10 months at Santander as programme manager and seven months as managing director of peer-to-peer lender Wellesley & Co.
From February 2011 he was at Shawbrook Bank for just under five years, first as chief operating officer and then managing director of consumer lending, while he has also held roles at Commercial First Mortgages, GE CPS, GE Capital and First National Bank.
Octopus Property's product range offering includes bridging, commercial, buy-to-let, development exit and refurbishment.
