Gatehouse Bank has promoted Sim Gill from business development manager to the newly-created role of intermediary national key account manager.
Gill joined Gatehouse in October 2017, starting as BDM in the residential property finance department. Prior to joining the bank, he was Islamic finance officer at Ahli United Bank.
He will be reporting to Faisal Dar, head of specialist home finance.
Dar said: “Providing a high level service to a growing number of intermediaries is a key element of our growth strategy, and I am delighted that Sim will be driving this forward.
“Sim’s appointment demonstrates Gatehouse’s ambitious plans for further growth and also highlights the opportunities for employees to progress within the bank as it continues to grow.”
Gill added: “As awareness of our products increases, the appetite among brokers to introduce business to the bank is growing.
“This is all happening in step with a growing range of products and an increasing public and business profile, so I’m delighted to be given a chance to lead how we work with our growing number of intermediary partners.”
The bank launched a commercial property finance proposition in November 2018 and entered the homebuyer market in December with the launch of its first home purchase plan product, a Shariah-compliant alternative to a conventional mortgage.
