Sesame Bankhall Group has promoted Martin Schultheiss from chief operating officer to group managing director.
At the same time Ross Liston has been hired as managing director of Bankhall and PMS from Standard Life, where he spent 26 years. He was latterly head of advisory relationships, while previous roles included head of strategic partnerships and head of advisory distribution, where he led the 200-strong Private Client division.
The group has created a third managing director role, of Sesame, while it said an announcement will be made regarding the appointment in future.

“Martin has injected new energy into our plans following his arrival in January, and Ross is another excellent addition to our leadership team.
“We also intend to further bolster our adviser facing business by recruiting a managing director for our Sesame Network.
“By leveraging the strengths of our group and continuing to invest in our market-leading advisory brands, we will give advisers all the support they need to help achieve their future ambitions.”
Other changes see Julie Sadler move from chief risk officer at Sesame Bankhall group and managing director of Bankhall to group risk and compliance director. She will maintain responsibility for the delivery of compliance services to Bankhall clients.
Jim Kelly has moved from chief finance officer to group finance director, while HR & learning director Lisa Winnard has become group people & services director.
