"He joins us at a key time as we press on with our strategy to reinvent the society for a post-pandemic world and build on our purpose of helping members save, plan for and protect their financial future.
"Peter brings significant experience of driving amongst other things a successful digitisation strategy and will be key in helping us give the best member experience as we develop new digital services to transform our core proposition.”
O’Donnell commented on his appointment: "I’m delighted to be joining The Nottingham’s Board and am already looking forward to supporting and shaping some of the exciting plans already in place on the Society’s road to reinvention.
"Thanks to a sound strategy and progressive culture at the Society, there’s a fantastic opportunity to really add value to its members in a post-pandemic world and beyond."
Peter will join the board in the new year.
