It works in partnership with the institute to deliver CPSP across the group
In a move aimed at supporting its team members, The Brightstar Group has adopted a group-wide strategy to facilitate the pursuit of the Certified Practitioner of Specialist Property Finance (CPSP) – an initiative that has already enrolled an inaugural group of 20 team members.
CPSP, a collaborative effort by the Association of Short Term Lenders (ASTL), the Financial Intermediary and Broker Association (FIBA), and The London Institute of Banking & Finance (LIBF), is an educational program launched last year and designed for the short term and specialist lending sector.
The Level 3 accreditation focuses on enhancing skills and knowledge in specialist property finance, enabling advisers to collaborate more effectively with brokers, lenders, solicitors, and valuers. Completion of the modules earns participants an LIBF digital badge and accreditation for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) purposes.
The CPSP accreditation covers various aspects, including lending structures and different loans, regulations, bridging loans, development finance, commercial mortgages, and buy-to-let mortgages.
A two-time recipient of the Sunday Times Best Small Company to Work for award, The Brightstar Group said it reiterates its commitment to team development with the partnership with LIBF.
“I’m excited about this latest facet of our people development strategy and believe that the CPSP provides something that is much needed, quite different and, in some cases, more relevant than the CeMAP qualification,” Clare Jupp (pictured), chief people officer at The Brightstar Group, commented.
“Our team has responded with enthusiasm to this programme, and the Brightstar Group is delighted to be working with the LIBF, encapsulating our mission statement of ‘Working together to make things happen’. We are fully behind the CPSP as an industry initiative and intend to enrol multiple cohorts onto this programme.”
Gordon Reid, business development manager at The London Institute of Banking & Finance, added they were delighted to be working in partnership with the Brightstar Group.
“At LIBF, we are very proud to have developed the CPSP programme for the benefit of the specialist finance sector, in association with FIBA and the ASTL,” Reid said. “This is a fantastic initiative, designed to raise standards and ensure that clients receive the highest quality of advice available to them.
“Having industry leaders, such as the Brightstar Group, supporting the programme, demonstrates its credibility and supports its long-term success.”
