The system enables independent assessors to automatically receive Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) instructions through Quest Associates’ Secure Panel Network, in addition to being able to generate and lodge completed reports with the BRE Certification Accreditation Scheme using Quest’s technology.
There are no annual registration fees or set-up costs, and the system provides a number of key member benefits including full connectivity to Quest in order to receive electronic EPC instructions from panel firms, plus free use of mobile EPC completion tools - meaning DEAs are able to complete an assessment whilst on site. This latter benefit will help improve turnaround times and profits, whilst reducing unnecessary administration.
In addition, a work schedule is incorporated into OPEN meaning all instructions, including those received from other sources, can be managed in one central location, helping to fully manage each assessor’s daily appointment, completion and lodgement schedule.
Chris Broadbent, director of BRE Training, said: “There has been a terrific demand for the OPEN system from members of the BREC Accreditation Scheme since it was launched a few weeks ago, as the benefits are extremely wide-ranging. Not only can DEAs receive instructions electronically, but an Appointment Optimiser means they can easily manage their workload online, reports can be completed and lodged using smart mobile tools, plus they can enjoy the financial benefits of direct terms with the client.”
