These workshops are designed to help IFAs meet the FSA requirements post-N2 of having a T&C regime in place. They are being run by Phil Billingham Associates Ltd and will focus on the key areas involved in running an effective T&C regime, including Running a Risk- Based Scheme, Coaching & Assessment, and Training.
One-day Supervisor Refresher workshops run from 29 October 2002 to 6 February 2003. There are also four two-day introductory Supervisor Workshops, running from 19-21 November 2002 to 2-3 October 2003.
Hugo Thorman, Marketing Director, Wealth Management and Banking at Abbey National for Intermediaries said: “In the post-N2 environment, it is becoming increasingly important for IFAs to keep abreast of, and successfully meet, regulatory changes. The Training and Competency courses we are sponsoring aim to help IFAs meet these demands and keep them up to date with the key issues involved in running an effective T&C regime.”
Phil Billingham, Chairman and founder of the IFA Training & Competency Officers forum, said: “These workshops will be a rare opportunity for those responsible for T&C in an IFA environment to meet and share ideas. They are deliberately designed to be as practical as possible.” Phil Billingham is also Vice Chairman of the Society of Financial Advisers (SOFA) and Fellow of the Life Insurance Association.
