Phelan, previously of Midland and General, expects to head up a team of as many as 60 in the newly created division and will primarily be responsible for planning and implementing the business strategy, recruitment and training, building the department infrastructure and consolidating relationships with introducers and lenders.

Mike lives with his partner Donna and his son Ricky. He is a keen Chelsea fan, and was until recently a keen 5 a side player but has now hung up his boots. He also enjoys most sports, music and cinema and the ‘odd’ bit of decorating.
